Yeah Fall

Fri Oct 16, 2009, 8:10 AM
Step into tomorrow, were Damsels are yet to be rescued,Perils yet to be encountered ,Villains yet to be confronted, and Heroes yet to step forth and save the day, for the writer has not yet begun to play.

I have have not been here in awhile but have thought about this place and needing to get back to work on some art. Hopefully Fall will trigger some new ideas and result in new art. I love this time of year because of the weather changes and colors of this planet. Got to go see U2 and Muse at the new Cowboy Stadium. Both bands gave great performances and the new stadium is an architectural wonder but this stadium may be to big for great acoustic quality. Another disappointment for some unknown reason the huge high definition T V screens were not used. Only the marvelous set brought by U2 was used and while it is spectacular, it seemed small and inadequate for this huge stadium. Still we had a great experience and it was well worth the cost to have seen the bands and the stadium.

Strive hard to make today better than yesterday and with equal measure strive to make tomorrow better than today, if we are blessed with tomorrow as we have been with today. Give love,it is the cheapest, most priceless gift of all.

Summer Rain

We got a nice Summer rain shower today and i was able to just sit back and marvel at what a wonderful joy it was to see the Earth bath this small patch of its surface. To cleanse it, refresh it, and soothe its parched surface as only Nature can as the hand of a Supreme Being.

Strive hard to make today better than yesterday and with equal measure strive to make tomorrow better than today, if we are blessed with tomorrow as we have been with today. Give love,it is the cheapest, most priceless gift of all.

The Dog Days of Summer

Step into tomorrow, were Damsels are yet to be rescued,Perils yet to be encountered ,Villains yet to be confronted, and Heroes yet to step forth and save the day, for the writer has not yet begun to play.

As July begins we enter into what are known as the "Dog Days of Summer". Around here it is the continually boring day after day of excessive heat, It is not that the days are not beautiful and picturesque but that the heat just seems to knock you down with its intensity. Looking out from inside an air conditioned building it looks like an ideal day to go out and enjoy the sunshine and play in the park. However, five minutes after going outside you begin to wilt.
I'm a firm believer in keeping hydrated and drinking lots of fluids but, in the "Dog Days of Summer" it seems all your reserves are sapped from within you in just minutes. Now you begin to regret leaving those comfortable confines of that wonderfully cool building so you retreat from the abominable heat and return to the luxuriantly cool sanctuary of your building. You choose to stay here even tho you are bored out of your mind. You wait day after day til the temperature falls below 90 degrees, when it becomes bearable again. You have just created "Cabin Fever", a Winter affliction brought about by staying indoors till the weather warms up enough to go out side and enjoy it. "Only in America" have we been blessed with so many wonderful creature comforts that we can sit around and complain about the weather from a comfortable living room with all it's conveniences while our armed forces are out in the most extreme conditions imaginable protecting our freedom to sit around and complain about the weather. Atlantis Oh Atlantis would that you could have been so blessed.

Strive hard to make today better than yesterday and with equal measure strive to make tomorrow better than today, if we are blessed with tomorrow as we have been with today. Give love,it is the cheapest, most priceless gift of all.

Going to a Ballgame

Yea! i get to take my Goddaughters to a Major League Baseball game this week. This will be their first time to see a Major League game at The Ballpark in Arlington, Texas home of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. It is truly one of the very best facilities in the world to witness a sporting event. Currently the Rangers are leading their Division and playing well. They will need to continue to do as their opponent will be the World Famous New York Yankees who are also right in the thick of their Divisional race. I look forward to it for the shear pleasure of watching my Goddaughters get to experience the atmosphere of a game at a Major League Facility, hoping that one day they will realize they have bonded with their fellow Americans in attending an event that has bonded us together for over a century. The fact that it will be the New York Yankees is only icing to the cake.

Mindrust

Fri Apr 17, 2009, 4:13 PM
Step into tomorrow, were Damsels are yet to be rescued,Perils yet to be encountered ,Villains yet to be confronted, and Heroes yet to step forth and save the day, for the writer has not yet begun to play.

I have not been very active over the last few weeks due to helping friends move and having a bad case of "Mindrust". Rust of the mind usually occurs after a period of high productivity or creativity. We have all heard of it in one form or another, "artist block" being the most common. For some reason or another, after experiencing several weeks of a very productive outpouring of images my mind just seemed devoid of all artistic concepts. I mean there were no wisps of an image or idea of an image or thoughts of an image to inspire me to get on my computer and create. I was in the void of "Empty Images". I had lost whatever little bit of creativity i had ever tried to convince myself i possessed. My mind had completely shut down any artistic sense that it normally generated with great ease. I became depressed, irritable and moody. What must i do to rid my self of this "Mindrust"? I was certain that there must be a quick fix or cure to get me back on track. The more i looked into it, i found that it affects almost every creative mind at one time or another and that there is no magic potion or spell to cure it. It occurs at different intervals and durations for each individual. Luckily it began to rain today and for some reason my thoughts and images seem to be flowing at that old familiar pace. Maybe the rainy weather was the lubricate my mind needed to free up the rust. Hopefully it was only a short period of "Mindrust" and it won't recur for a long time, but if it does, i wrote this to remind myself "Mindrust" can come and go as quickly as a spring rain, don't beat yourself up trying to "make it happen" let it come to you.

Strive hard to make today better than yesterday and with equal measure strive to make tomorrow better than today, if we are blessed with tomorrow as we have been with today. Give love,it is the cheapest, most priceless gift of all.
